DIRIGIDO A TODAS LAS PERSONAS INTERESADAS EN EL ÁREA DE SALUD EN GENERAL Y QUE GUSTEN APRENDER, RECIBIR O COMPARTIR LOS BENEFICIOS DE NUESTA CULTURA ANCESTRAL.
El evento pretende ser un Festival Internacional Bilingüe de América del Norte y América del Sur, que tiene como fin ofrecer nuestro respeto a la Medicina Tradicional Indígena de los ancestros. Un encuentro para compartir y aprender sobre las tradiciones de América del Norte y Sur, logrando así derribar y vencer los límites percibidos en la cultura popular sobre tan sagrada y honorable tradición.
Curanderos o sanadores de México, Estados Unidos y Perú, estarán reunidos para compartir su conocimiento y medicina para los que tienen interés en honrar y preservar estas tradiciones tan valiosas y reconocer que la Medicina Tradicional no es el pasado, es el futuro….

TIANGUIS Es una vendimia al aire libre que estará abierto al público, asistentes al evento y a los alumnos de los diversos talleres podrán encontrar Artesania y Productos naturistas, remedios y medicamentos herbolarios, cosméticos naturales, editoriales, herbolarios y todo lo relacionado con el ramo, ypara que den a conocer sus productos y llegue un beneficio en la salud y vida de los habitantes de Tecate.

ÁREA DE CURACIÓN
Sanadores y curanderos que deseen ofrecer sus servicios de curación tienen designada una área al aire libre donde la gente puede acceder a sus servicios que serán pagados con donativos o precios accesibles. Los sobadores, curanderos y más personas que trabajen con plantas energía y otros elementos naturales.
Este evento propone combinar la diversidad de culturas y tradiciones; reconociendo con esta acción que la medicina ancestral es determinante como una opción de atención a la salud a la que tienen derecho muchas personas desde las más remotas y marginadas comunidades de la región hasta los habitantes de las urbes, porque la medicina ancestral es algo que beneficia a un grupo, pueblo, ciudad o país.

TALLERES Y TALLERISTAS
Los cursos serán de 12 horas que incluye una caminata para reconocer las plantas de la región el día sábado alrededor del parque. Se otorgaran reconocimientos de asistencia al taller el cual se otorgará con el 100% de asistencia al mismo. Costo $ 2,000 pesos (($1,500 pagado antes de dia 15 de Mayo) pesos por 3 días incluye alimentos y hospedaje * campamento. Entrega de reconocimiento después de la clausura.
MESA REDONDA
EL viernes y sábado se reunirán los maestros para dialogar sobre un solo tema (preguntas/respuestas), y su punto de vista tradicional. La entrada está incluida en la cuota de inscripción para los alumnos. También van a ser abierto al público, cupo limitado. Costo $ 200 pesos.

Se hará una caminata al aire libre para reconocimiento del área y las plantas nativas de la región por parte de los hierberos y nativos de Baja California.

En este cierre pretendemos unir energías con un solo corazón y terminar ofreciendo las gracias a la Madre Tierra por la oportunidad de este nuevo grupo de seres humanos que se reconocen entre sí y que conviven con un solo deseo… Reconectase con la sabiduría de la Medicina y la Vida Tradicional.
Este evento se realiza CON EL APOYO DE TODOS LOS QUE DESEAMOS compartir sobre la Medicina Tradicional disponible en nuestra casa, abuelos, amigos, ciudad, país y Madre Tierra.
This event is being held to give honor to the Traditional Medicine of our ancestors. We will come together at the border in a Festival to share in the rich healing traditions of the Americas, helping us to overcome the perceived cultural boundaries.
We exist in a time when a great need for healing has arisen, for ourselves and the Mother Earth. There exist medicines amongst all people of the Americas that are being lost and/or forgotten, this is the medicine of the Mother Earth, this is our Traditional Medicine.
Through these traditions we can return to and recover balance for ourselves and with the Mother Earth, creating a healing environment where we live. Traditional Healers from the Americas, Mexico, USA, and Peru, will be gathering to share their knowledge and medicine with those interested in honoring and preserving these valuable traditions.

*Official organizing authority of the Mexican National Fiesta of Medicinal Plants which is an event promoting & bringing into the public realm and thereby enabling the sharing and preservation of Traditional and “alternative” Medicine.
This Festival exists solely and thanks to the economic help of those attending and the participation of volunteers and organizers. There exists no type of official subsidy and this is the first time an event of this type is taking place in Baja California, with the intention of realizing an encounter that has the goal of sharing, promoting and preerving the knowledge of Traditional Medicine at an international level.

WORKSHOPS AND TEACHERS
The workshops will consist of 15 hours student / teacher contact including an herb walk to identify and recognize the plants of the region, Saturday afternoon around the park area.
During the registration participants will chose one of the workshops n which they will participate for the duration of the Festival.
We will provide recognition,diplomas, for your participation in your chosen workshop with the completion of 100% of chosen workshop. The cost of the participation in the workshops is $170. pre registration will be $125 paid before the 15th of May and will include the 3 day workshop and herb walk, Round table discusions, camping and food.
Diplomas will be presented at the end of your workshop.

ROUND TABLE DISCUSSIONS
Friday and Saturday evening we will bring together the invited teachers to discuss a single theme from the point of view of their respective traditions along with some quiestions and answers.
The entrance to the Round Table Discussions is included in the cost of the Festival.
The Round Table Discussions will be open to the public for a fee of $200 pesos (apprx $17). space limited on a 1st come 1st serve basis.
PRESENTATIONS AND TALKS
In the Vendor area there will be a stage where there will be talks and cultural and artistic presentations open to the public at no charge during the 3 days of the Festival.
HERB WALK AND RECOGNITION OF NATIVE PLANTS OF BAJA CALIFORNIA
Saturday afternoon there will be an herb walk to identify and learn to recognize the native plants of Baja California. Those participating in the workshops and their teachers will be guided by local herbalists and/or indegenous people of Baja California.
Open to those not registered in Workshops for a fee of $100 pesos (apprx $9)
CLOSING
To finish this event we will unite our energies in one single heart to give thanks to the Mother Earth for the oppurtunity of this group of participants who have convened with one desire.... Reconnect with the knowledge of the Traditional Medicine and Traditional Life!!!
Following the closing ceremony we will celebrate with local musicians and cuisine. Music and Tacos!!!!
CULTURAL ACTIVITIES “Native Heritage” (in the Market Area - Free)
Forming what is a large community…. We have groups presenting traditional music, theatre, talks and varias educational activities, including projections of cultural documentaries.
It is a great honor for us that they will be participating in this Festival and welcoming the other indigenous groups and participants from around the world.
This event is being realized with the goal of sharing Traditional Medicine and making it more available in our homes, with our friends and families. Respecting our elders and our Mother Earth.
At the same time serving as a great benefit to all of the people of Tecate an Baja California:
1.Recognizing and making more available Tradicional Medicine here in Baja California....
2.Promoting tourism, in an international level, could have a great impact on Baja California and in particular Tecate...
REGISTRATION & ENROLLMENT
The place to enroll in the workshops will be in the Parque del Profesor (The Professor's Park). We will be accepting Workshop enrollments and event registrations on Thursday 5:00 - 10:00 pm, during which you will recieve a wristband for workshop participation and meal tickets along with an event guide and map.
The workshops have a limited space. We recomend that to secure your space you pay in advance and aftr payment you send a confirmation email as to which workshop you would like to participate.
The cost of the event paying the day of registration and enrollment is $170. Pre paying here with paypal (before May 15th) the cost will be $125.
Your donation will entitle you to participate in the workshops and round table discussions during the 3 days of the Festival. Also included is Camping and Meals during the event.
VENDOR AREA
The vending area will be a type of open air market, open to the public and the Festival partcipants, where people will be able to find herbal and natural health care products and crafts made by artesans.
The goal is the sharing of traditional medicine with the participation of Tradiional Healers, Curanderos and Natural Therapists. Also sharing Natural Products,Remedies, Herbal Medicine, Natural Cosmetics and all that is relative to this event so as to learn about these products and make them available to those who have the desire to better their health and life.
Hand made Crafts made by Artesans will also be availabe in the vendor area.
The local indegenous artesans of Baja California as well as the invited teachers will have a place of honor in the vendor area.
The vendors will be able to install their stands starting Thursday at 11:00am after recieving their vendor id and meal tickets.
Vendor spaces are limited and will be awarded on a 1st come 1st serve basis. The stands will start at $200 paid in advance, to include 10' x 10' space and meal tickets for 2 people, parking and camping. electrical connections will be available.

HEALING AREA
Curanderos and Healers who would like to offer their services will have an area available to offer their services for a donation or accessabe price. All types of Traditional healers are welcome, Curanderos, Body Workers, Herbalis and those who work with energy or other types of natural elements.
This event is put forth and share diverse cultures and traditions recognizing that Our anestral medicine is an option in healthcare that many people including those most remote and removed from urban areas can access. Traditional Medicine has benefits for all groups and people regardless of where they live.
The Healers will be able to install their stands starting Thursday at 11:00am after recieving their vendor id and meal tickets.
Vendor spaces are limited and will be awarded on a 1st come 1st serve basis. The stands will start at $200 paid in advanc,e to include 10' x 10' space and meal tickets for 2 people, parking and camping. electrical connections will be available.
*No use of electronic apparatus for healing will not be allowed.
*We reserve the right to refuse participation of anyone not meeting the standards of this event.
CAMPING AND MEALS
Camping will be rustic. Bring blankets and sleeping bags you may camp in the large tents that will be used for the classes or bring your own tent. The nights will probably be cold and the during the day cool to hot weather should be expected.
Meals will be served buffet style. Please bring plates, glasses and utensils to eat with. WE WILL NOT PROVIDE PLATES OR UTENSILS!!!!
We are trying to avoid plastics and disposable stuff at this event!!!!! We wiil provide a place to wash your dishes.
We will not serve in styrofoam or disposable dishware in the kitchen area!!!!!
LODGING
We will provide hotel info soon. The event is here in Mexico so lodging will be simple and very affordable.
